1. Mexican Burger
With only 5 ingredients, the Mexican burger is one of the simplest burger recipes. Here’s what you need:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon of bouillon
- 2 tablespoons of fresh cilantro (chopped)
- 1 avocado (sliced)
- ¼ cup red onion (sliced)
How to Prepare It
- Mix the ground beef with the bouillon and cilantro in a large bowl, until all ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Shape into four patties.
- Grill or broil for 6 minutes on each side if you want a medium burger or 8 minutes if you want it rare.
- Place the patty on the bun, add the onion and avocado slices, then top it with the other bun and enjoy it!
2. Black Beans burger (Vegan)
Black beans are nutritious and delicious – they are loaded with protein and complex carbohydrates, meaning they give you a steady flux of energy after you’ve eaten them.
Grab the following ingredients for a yummy Black Bean Burger:
- 2 cups cooked black beans
- 3 tablespoons ground flaxseed
- 1 medium zucchini
- Salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Optional: ½ teaspoon chilli powder
- Toppings (red onion, radish, wheat germ)
How to Prepare It
- Mash the black beans with the ground flax and put the mixture aside.
- Grate the zucchini and drain it well, to prevent the patty from falling apart.
- Add the salt, the garlic and chilli powder, and mix until all spices are fully incorporated; then form 4 even patties.
- Make sure the skillet is hot enough (medium heat) when you add the patties, so they won’t stick to the sides. You can also prevent that by spraying oil on the skillet.
- Leave them on for 6 minutes on a side and 4 minutes on the other side, then place each patty on a bun. Add your preferred toppings – red onion, radish and wheat germ go really well with black beans – and seal the deal with the top bun.
3. Stuffed Cheddar Beef Burger
Also known as The Minneapolis Burger, this recipe is an extremely delicious twist of the classic burger. Because the cheese gets really hot, it’s not recommended you eat it as soon as you get the patties off the grill or skillet.
These are the ingredients you need for a Stuffed Cheddar Beef Burger:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon of mixed spices (salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 pickles
How to Prepare It
- Mix the ground beef with the seasoning until all spices are well incorporated.
- Form 8 thin patties (about ½ an inch each), which you will later sandwich with the cheese to form the burger patty.
- Divide the shredded cheese into 4 parts and roll each of them in your hands to form a ball. Then, flatten it into a thick patty.
- Sandwich the cheese between two beef patties and seal the edges so the cheddar won’t drip.
- Grill for about 7 minutes on each side, then lower the heat and keep the exposure for 3 more minutes on each side.
- Place a lettuce leaf on the bun, then add the patty and top it up with tomatoes and pickles slices.
4. Lettuce-Wrapped Burgers (Bunless)
Lettuce-wrapped burgers are a great alternative for people who can’t or choose not to eat bread or other gluten-containing foods.
Prepare your delicious bunless burger with the following ingredients:
- 1 ½ pounds ground beef
- Salt and ground black pepper
- 10-12 lettuce leaves (2-3 for every patty)
- Toppings (mushrooms, avocado, onion, tomatoes or whatever you like)
How to Prepare It
- Mix the ground beef with salt and pepper and form the four patties.
- Place each patty on the grill or skillet. Leave them exposed to medium-high heat for 7 minutes, flip them, and leave them on for 6 more minutes.
- Meanwhile, create the lettuce bed by overlapping the lettuce leaves. Then, add the patty and your favorite burger toppings.
- Finally, wrap the leaves around the entire burger and enjoy it!
5. Classic Burger Recipe
Although this recipe is a tad more complicated, it’s one of the most delicious versions of the classic burger. Here are the ingredients:
- 1 pound ground lean beef
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup onion (minced)
- 1/4 cup dried bread crumbs
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire
- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- 1 teaspoon of salt and pepper mix
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 1 tomato (sliced)
- 1 red onion (sliced)
How to Prepare It

- Cook them for 4 minutes and flip them. Leave them for another 4 minutes and flip them a second time.
